BMW car currently has 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series (the 8 series was discontinued

in 1999);

The first number of the car model is the serial number, second and third numbers

indicate displacement;

The final caption I indicates fuel injection.

A stands for automatic block, C means double seat, S means super luxury.

For example, 318iA, expressed as the 3 series, displacement of 1800CC, fuel

injection, automatic block;

850Si said 8 series sedan, displacement of 5000CC, super luxury, fuel injection.

1 Series hatchback compact car, such as 130i;

3 Series is a compact car (as well as coupe model and station wagon of

deformation models), such as 320i, 330i;

5 Series is department for intermediate administrative vehicles, such as 523i, 530i;

6 Series is a sports coupe, such as 650i;

7 Series is a large luxury car, such as 730Li, 740Li, 760Li.

BMW Z series for sports cars, such as Z3, Z4, Z8.

Sports car models begin with Z, Z3, Z4 and Z8 are the flagship models, the greater

number of behind Z, the more senior level.

Z3 is a small two seaters coupe cabriolet (now discontinued);

Z4 is an alternative model instead of Z3, initially only two seater convertible coupe,

and later added a hardtop version of Z4Coupe;

Z8 is a high-performance luxury sports car (now discontinued).
