Audi RS 7 Concept Car Has Been Showcased at The Grand Prix Track in Hockenheim in Germany
Audi RS 7 concept car has been showcased at the Grand Prix track in Hockenheim in Germany.
The car is equipped with 560-horsepower engine and can reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour.
Audi used specially corrected GPS signals which is transmitted through WiFi , and 3D cameras to film the road ahead and a softwere program which is designed to compare the cameras' images with data set stored on board for smooth driving.
The piloted systems were developed by Electronics Research Laboratory of Volkswagen Group Research and experts from Stanford University.
It took the car over two minutes to complete one leap on the race tracks of Hockenheim.
Audi Board Member for Technical Development Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg said: "The top performance by the Audi RS 7 today substantiates the skills of our development team with regard to piloted driving at Audi.
"The derivations from series production, particularly in terms of precision and performance, are of great value for our further development steps."
